Thank You Royal Perth Golf Club Women’s Charity Committee

It’s been a huge year for us at Hannah’s House, and part of that was made possible by the Royal Perth Golf Club Women’s Charity Committee who selected us as their Beneficiary for 2020. We are so thankful to be involved with this group and appreciate their generosity and efforts they have gone to in supporting us.

High Tea and Fashion Parade

Our journey with the RPGC Women’s Charity Committee started in August where they hosted us at their High Tea and Fashion Parade event.

At our table, we were joined by Board Chair Anne McCormack, Founding Director Jacky Vigurs with her daughter Tessa, and our inaugural CEO Jonine Collins who was set to start at Hannah’s House later in September. It was a great event, with 170 ladies eager to attend as COVID-19 restrictions had been recently lifted. We loved seeing the ladies from the club strutting the runway!

Anne McCormack also shared a few words with the guests about Hannah’s House and our new Playtime Play Therapy program, which proceeds from the day’s fundraising were to support.

Well done to everyone at Royal Perth Golf Club for this special afternoon and the Mariko South Perth Boutique on Mends Street for organising the fashion show.

RPGC Women’s 2020 Charity Day

This brings us to the main event, the Royal Perth Golf Club Women’s 2020 Charity Day. The day’s atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement as 216 ladies teed off to support children with life-limiting conditions.

It was a very well organised event, they had many stalls set up selling books, plants, handbags and homemade cakes. They even had one of the biggest raffles we had ever seen filled with amazing hampers and prizes (we’re still slightly disappointed we weren’t lucky enough to win one).

We had our own Hannah’s House table which gave us the opportunity to speak directly to the ladies who were supporting us and spread the word about what we do and the services we provide. During the award ceremony our Clinical Services Manager Susan King, gave a short speech about Hannah’s House which was met with great reception.

The Kindest Gift

On CEO Tuesday 8th December Jonine Collins and our Business Development Manager Lee-Anne Ashely were invited to lunch by the RPGC Women’s Charity Committee where they presented us with a cheque for $40,000! We are so grateful for this incredible contribution and all the efforts they have gone to fundraise for us. Thank you so much to all the wonderful ladies of the Charity Committee, with special mentions to Kerry and President Vicki for your hard work. The money you raised will go towards providing care, comfort and joy to children with life-limiting or complex conditions.

If you want to make a difference in the lives of our children and their families, find out how you can fundraise for us here.
