The City of Fremantle has a bunch of awesome activities happening these school holidays. Whether you’re child is a dinosaur fan, a bookworm or an artist – there’s something for everyone. Check out Sue’s list below!
Paper Bird, Children’s Books and Arts
Situated next door to Moore and Moore Paper bird run a weekly story time on Sundays. We’ll read some of our favourite stories together in the courtyard. Suitable for 6 years and younger. Access is wheelchair friendly and numbers limited through a booking system. Book your place through Eventbrite.
Dinoland Discovery Centre Fremantle
See, touch, play! Dinoland features an all new interactive discovery centre with loads of hands on activities.
Discover the world of dinosaurs. See up close the animatronic dinosaurs, or test your strength against the TREX. Explore Dinoland’s exhibition hall to see lifesize animatronic dinosaurs. Dig for fossils in the giant pit, touch screen jigsaws to complete and much more!
Fun for the whole family. Dinoland is suitable for all ages and abilities ensuring there is something for everyone.
Open every day in April from 9.30am-4pm and children under two are free. Tickets also entitle you discounts at some other popular Fremantle attractions, like Ciccarello’s and the Fremantle Tourist Wheel.
Fremantle Arts Centre
The Fremantle Arts Centre (FAC) hosts two fun weekly events that are great for children!
Buster is a free, multi-sensory, child-centred program that offers creative and fun opportunities for families to learn and play together. Buster is on every Wednesday at 9.30am during school holidays and takes place in the front garden of FAC.
FAC also hosts a Storytime event in the main gallery every Friday morning at 9.30am-10am during school holidays. Storytime is a perfect introduction to the galleries for young children and families. These fun and engaging sessions are presented by a lively story teller. Each week features a new book, sing-alongs and a craft activity.
