The WA community is being encouraged to go above and beyond for Perth children with life-limiting or complex conditions when Hannah’s House teams up with Beyond Bank in April.
Beyond Bank has selected Hannah’s House – which provides specialised care to these children – as a recipient of its Double Donation initiative which doubles donations up to $10,000 made to charities during a 48-hour window.
Hannah’s House is hoping to raise $20,000 on April 21 and 22 with the support of the West Leederville-based bank’s charitable arm, Beyond Bank Foundation.
Funding Helps Give Carers a Crucial Break
“Our free respite care program is crucial because it’s designed to help prevent carer burnout,” explained Hannah’s House CEO Jonine Collins.
“Respite care gives parents or carers a break, which is not a luxury but a necessity as meeting the many needs of a child with a complex condition is a round-the-clock task that can be taxing on many levels.
“If carers don’t get this break, it can take a mental, health or emotional toll on them and also often leads to these unwell children being admitted back into hospital for their safety.”
The pro bono respite care provided by Hannah’s House can be delivered in the home and in the community, including at the not-for-profit’s inclusive Play sessions.
Double the Impact with Beyond Bank
Beyond Bank’s annual Double Donation fundraiser is focused on supporting causes that help strengthen Australian communities and make a meaningful difference, with 18 organisations chosen nationally to take part in 2026. Since 2021, the Double Donation initiative has raised more than $1.6 million.
