This month we’re celebrating five years of independent operations providing care, comfort and joy to children with life-limiting and complex conditions and their families.
After successfully piloting an in-home respite program with Nulsen Disability, we launched our own service in November 2016.
Since then we have provided care to almost 200 children and families delivering more than 150,000 hours of care.
Our first client was baby Kamden. This sweet little boy was only five months old and his parents Sarah and Ian were dealing with the unexpected reality of having a child with complex needs. Having to relocate from their community in Karratha, the couple were navigating life in Perth, juggling with FIFO and taking their baby boy home from hospital without any other support.
That’s when Hannah’s House were called by the then children’s hospital PMH social worker to help.
Kamden is now five years old and thriving beyond expectation. He is a participant of the NDIS and together with Sarah, Ian and his little sister Scarlett, is still very much part of the Hannah’s House family.
