Hannah’s House is devoted to supporting children with life-limiting or complex conditions and their families. Life-limiting conditions are those for which there is no reasonable hope of cure and from which children or young people will often die before adulthood.
Hannah’s House supports children with life-limiting or complex conditions and their families to live their best quality of life.
We do this by:
Meeting professional and best practice standards and displaying strong moral and ethical principles.
Never giving up, no matter how hard things get.
The power of working together.
Listening, connecting and responding with compassion.
Bringing happiness to others.
We believe in collaborative paediatric palliative care where children and families are supported through an interconnected ecosystem of core providers who have shared knowledge, goals and care plans for the child.
We see Hannah’s House as part of a multidisciplinary care approach that would allow the child or young person to move seamlessly between Hospital → Home → Hospice and be well supported within the community.
It is essential for families that their child has continuity of care as they progress from diagnosis to treatment and recovery; live with their condition; or, sadly, require palliative and end-of-life care.
